DC Dinner and a Fashion Fix

Olivia Palermo Nautical Street Style

A few friends and I ventured to Zaytinya, a fun and popular Greek restaurant downtown, on Tuesday night. We were expecting a snow storm and agreed to have a last “hoorah” before being stuck inside. Though the snow storm never actually happened, I do have to rave about the food! I seriously think it’s my favorite place in downtown DC so far – in part because of the food, but also because of the ambiance. They serve dinner tapas-style, so we ordered a bit of everything to share.

DC Desserts

{Zaytinya’s delicious dessert – it tasted like an orange creamsicle, only creamier and better, and sprinkled with pistachio! I liked it better than the shared chocolate dessert – and I’m the world’s biggest chocoholic.}

I love my striped Loft sweater (above) because it’s so versatile — I’m able to wear it anywhere from a lazy weekend to the office! I just wore it with jeans and a structured jacket this time, but sometimes I like to pair it with a skirt and tights for work, or layer it over a chambray shirt. It’s incredibly versatile, so you can pair it with almost anything. I bought this one a few years ago, but below are some examples of other pieces you can wear the trend in an edgy way – without going too overboard:
